The team at The Group Therapy Space are all group analysts who work in a ‘relational’ way, meaning we are very much ‘in’ the therapy alongside our clients, sharing the journey

We are all accredited psychotherapists and registered with the the UK Council for Psychotherapy and Full Members of the Institute of Group Analysis and the Group Analytic Society International

We are all trained to offer individual psychotherapy as well as group therapy

I work with groups, couples, and individuals. I have extensive experience in the NHS, the voluntary sector and in further education, particularly in the areas of sexual healthdrug and alcohol addiction, and mental health

I run psychodynamic therapy groups and see couples and individuals both online and in person. I am particularly interested in helping young people with the transition between adolescence and early adulthood and people who have experienced sexual abuse

A group analytic group meets weekly for 90 minutes in a confidential and a containing space. Over time, you will experience the benefits of exploring with other group members, the issues that burden you and are causing you distress. We look at your past, as a means of exploring and understanding how ithas shaped your present. Your evolving relationship with me and other group members will support you in becoming more aware of the choices you make in both your interpersonal relationships and life in general and how you can face the future in more constructive and creative ways

I also offer regular non-managerial supervision to people working in challenging and stressful work settings

I offer reflective practice and resilience development groups for staff in mental health services

I am also a trainer for the Institute of Group Analysis, London

My approach to understanding the person is relational and social. I have a special interest in language and its effects and an interest in looking at the old injuries and strange life misperceptions that can affect relationships.

I offer psychotherapy in English and Greek

A note about our training

We have all trained for 6 years, in addition to our previous therapy qualifications, and this includes our own twice-weekly group analysis. This allows us to offer a therapy of insight and depth which helps a person make lasting changes

In NHS primary care, psychotherapy is of limited availability. People who have found short term NHS talking therapies helpful sometimes go on to work through deeper issues in psychotherapy in the private sector. Group therapy is for many, a more affordable way of doing this
