Tasha. Who cares? Group therapy to help find a partner

Tasha is in her early 40s. She wants children, but has not found a partner

In the group Tasha keeps missing sessions, saying that she feels unsure about the process and has enrolled on a mindfulness course. The group are curious, but feel a bit let down

Tasha admits that after she’s talked openly to people about herself she feels too ashamed to come back the following week. Do the group care about what she says? She gets upset

Tasha realises that the group do care, and that she’s always walking away from people who get too close: she believes no-one can like her

She talks about her childhood: hiding feelings to feel acceptable at home and at school

Tasha stops missing sessions. She begins to trust the others, talking to them in a quite new way

She finds and stays with a new partner
