Claude. The odd one out? Group therapy for loneliness

Claude is a successful fashion designer. But he feels isolated and anxious

He joins the group, but every time arrives late . The others tell him that he makes them feel second best to something more important

Claude hadn't thought anyone would care. He describes feeling the odd one out: the only child at school with foreign parents in a white English suburb. Even within his family he somehow feels left out - he's the only one who is not working in medicine

The group are moved. Claude starts coming on time. He relaxes. He says that he never felt he would fit the group and was planning to leave. The others ask him to stay.

Claude starts making strong new friendships outside the group

He breaks out from his sense of isolation. His anxiety lifts
